Jake Steinfeld is an American fitness specialist and entrepreneur in the fitness training industry. He is the son of Joy and Herbert Melvin Steinfeld. He is the uncle of actress, model, and singer Hailee Steinfeld. He is married to Tracey Morrison, with whom he has four children.
Jake’s paternal grandfather was Shmuel, later Samuel “Sam,” Steinfeld (the son of Hirsch, later Julius, Steinfeld, and of Dweire, later Dora Schwartz). Sam was a Romanian Jewish emigrant, from Iași, Iași.
Jake’s paternal grandmother was Brindel Chaimovna Zelenetskaya, later Bessie Ethel Zelensky (the daughter of Chaim Zelenetsky, later Hyman Mendel Zelensky, and of Brize, later Sarah, Cohen). Jake’s grandmother Bessie was a Belarusian Jewish emigrant, from Romanovo (now Lenino), Slutsk, Minsk. Hyman was the son of Edel Berel Zelensky and Rachel Leah. Sarah was born in Romania, the daughter of Morris Cohen and Boba Brunstein.
Jake’s maternal grandfather was Arthur Lindemann (later Wagner, the son of Max Lindemann and Charlotte “Jennie” Wagner). Arthur was born in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Max was a German Jewish emigrant, and was the son of Dan Lindemann and Sophie Lesser. Charlotte was a Ukrainian Jewish emigrant, from Lviv, and was the daughter of Herman Wagner and Clara Blank.
Jake’s maternal grandmother was Minnie (later Myra) Siegel (the daughter of Joseph “Joe” Siegel and Fannie Mitnitskaya). Myra was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, to Russian Jewish parents. Fannie was the daughter of Jacob Mitnitsky and Sylvia Kivenko.
